How to Create the Ultimate Breakfast in Bed for Valentine’s Day

Feeling stuck on what to get your honey this Valentine’s Day? Why not make it a simple breakfast in bed? I’ve compiled a few of my favorite things into a lazy morning breakfast that we can enjoy under the covers. Here’s what you’ll want to include:

Breakfast Tray.

You’ll need something to serve you love breakfast on, so make sure it’s one of these with handles. There’s also the other kind that have legs on them, but really both work just fine.

Food.

Whether it’s homemade scones, eggs, and bacon, or a just a simple PopTart, keep what your mate likes to eat in mind. If they love your pancakes, then make them! If they don’t usually eat breakfast, maybe just serve them some coffee. Keep their tastes in mind and they’ll be glad to see whatever is on your tray.

Drink.

If your love is a black coffee drinker, bring them a fresh cup o’ joe in bed. While you’re at it, why not get them a new mug? The same old coffee doesn’t have to come in the same old package! If you want to do something a little more special and you have no place to be, a mimosa or bloody mary may do just the trick!

Reading Material.

I am always looking for ways to better our relationship, so I would definitely include a book like the 5 Love Languages or 52 Uncommon Dates to read through. The Love Languages are essential to any relationship. It’s so important to find out what your and your mate’s love language is, so you can determine how they give and perceive love. For instance, my love language is quality time. If I love you, I want to spend time with you and I expect for you to make time for me. The other book, 52 Uncommon Dates is a another great one because it has ideas for unique dates you can take with your partner that not only foster communication but also trying new things. And since this book is also written by Gary Chapman (who came up with the love languages), he suggests dates that are good for each type of love language.

Snuggle.

Why not bring in a new blanket to snuggle under? A soft, warm blanket gives you the sense of safety and security and what better way to get in some quality snuggle time in?

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. You can enjoy spending time with your love and get them a little something that shows them how much they mean to you. Let’s enjoy a Valentine’s Day breakfast  in bed!
