$100 Grocery Haul Tips with Randalls

This post is sponsored by Randalls.

Need to stretch a dollar? How about $100?

Recently, Randalls challenged me to show how their Signature line of products are the perfect way to stay on budget with your weekly shopping trip. Want to see how I did?

How Do I Save Money While Grocery Shopping?

The Weekly Ad. Start writing your shopping list by looking at the weekly ad. Randalls has different items go on sale every week in their ad and it really helps make your dollar go further if you start here.

“Clip” digital coupons. Digital coupons are an easy way to save money and you don’t even have to get the scissors out! They’re loaded straight to your shopping account and will automatically be deducted at the register after you scan your membership card.

Be mindful of the price per ounce. Buying in bulk is not always the cheaper option. Look at the price per ounce on the shelf tag to see how much each item equates to. You may be surprised to see which items aren’t as cost effective as you thought.

How do I Save Time While Grocery Shopping?

Take advantage of the free Drive Up & Go™ grocery pickup for affordable delivery service. I love shopping in store, but sometimes there just isn’t enough hours in the day. Ordering your groceries online and scheduling a pickup time is the perfect way to save time and sanity if your kids are along for the ride.

Visit Randalls.com to check out delivery and pickup options in your area.

Let’s see how I did…

For my grocery haul, I needed to replenish our stash of easy breakfast items, lunch staples, snacks, and ingredients I’ll be using for dinner. In case you’re interested, I got breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks – all of this for $98.15! And that includes a savings of $9.77 through items that were on sale, in the weekly ad and had just for U® digital coupons.

What’s for Dinner with my Grocery Haul?

I love that Randalls’ Signature line has a ton of ready to go meals, sides, and high-quality ingredients at such great value. For tonight’s dinner, I’ll be having Randalls do a lot of the cooking while I put together a few items to go with it.

Roasted Chicken & Potatoes

Let’s start this meal prep off with some tasty Signature Farms® Red Potatoes! I got this 5-pound bag and grabbed a few out. I diced them into small cubes, coated them in oil, sprinkled some seasoning on them, and roasted them in the oven. I love recipes like this that I can put in the oven and let it do its thing while I prepare the rest of the meal.

One of my favorite time-savings items from Randalls is the fully cooked, hot and ready to go Signature Cafe Whole Roasted Chicken. Sometimes I will take all the meat off the bone and make enchiladas or chicken salad with it. And then there’s other times, like tonight, where I’ll serve it as is. Easy!

Grilled Romaine Salad

Next up, is a grilled romaine salad. These Signature Farms® Romaine Hearts come cut and ready to go in a 3 pack! I just cut them in half, brush them with a little oil, and put them on the grill for a few seconds. Once they’ve got those beautiful grill marks on them, I’ll drizzle them with a little Signature SELECT™ Ranch Salad Dressing and a few sliced grape tomatoes. Bacon, cheese, or croutons would also be a great topping for them!

Fresh Baked Bread w/ Dip

Randalls’ bakery always has fresh bread ready to take and eat! I grabbed a loaf of Signature SELECT™ French Bread and served it with some already prepared pesto.

Chocolate Drizzled Madelines with Ice Cream

Dessert is never missed at our house. For dessert tonight, I took the Signature SELECT™ Madeline cookies and drizzled them with melted dark chocolate. They go perfectly alone or served with Signature SELECT™ Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Why “Signature”?

Every store has a store brand, but Randalls believes that high quality and great prices should always go together! These products not only save you money, but they’re also great tasting! They’re quality ingredients at a price you’ll love!

I buy my Signature® products at my local Randalls, and you can also find them exclusively at the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Pavilions, Tom Thumb, Randalls, Shaw’s, Star Market, United Supermarkets and Carrs/Safeway. Visit randalls.com to find a store near you and discover meal prep tips and recipe ideas.
