Easy Paper Flowers You Can Make Yourself!

I love paper flowers. After all, you get the delicate look of flowers, without them dying after a couple days. Recently, I looked into purchasing some paper flowers for my office (that I could double and use at bridal shows and events), and I was struck with sticker shock! $18 for one stem? No thanks!

I thought, I’m pretty crafty, but I don’t know if I could make that – until I saw Little B‘s paper flower kit at my local Hobby Lobby (aka the taker of all my money).

See that price right there? Yeah, I didn’t pay that – I used the 40% off coupon (on their website or app) and got that baby for $2.99. And it makes 6 flowers. So there.

Here’s the directions they give you. It seems simple enough, right? Well, let’s see how it goes…

Step One. Take the green wire that is doubled over and twist the strip of self-adhesive petals around it. This part was not as easy as it sounds. You see, the strip doesn’t curve like the petals need to, so you end up having to correct its path around the stem over and over again. At a certain point, you give up trying to make it look perfect.

Step Two. Keep adding the strips until you’ve used 2 small petal strips and 2 large petal strips.

Step Three. Fluff the petals so they’re not all stuck together.

Step Four. Add the leave to complete the flower’s look. I added them to the sides that looked a little more flat than the rest.

Step Five. Repeat for the remaining five flowers.

When you’re done making your flowers, you can put them in a cute little vase like this one (see how to make it here), or make a couple kits worth for a bouquet!
