So, I’ll admit it…I know nothing about make-up. It’s just not my thing. I love the way it can change a person’s face and the art of it; I’m just not talented in that way. But my best friend is. That’s why I always go to her for makeup tips and lessons (because like I said, I know nothing!). So I thought it was kind of funny when a United Kingdom based company wanted to send me skin care and makeup products to review. I figured, why not? It’ll be fun to experiment!
And so I did. Below I’ll be going into each product and what I thought about it. They’re not available in the US (yet), but be on the lookout for these goodies! Amazon does have some of Rodial’s other products though, if you’re interested in trying something out.
Here we go! Let’s see what happens… For the purpose of this post, I chose to take more product-type photos because being what my makeup skills are, it wouldn’t make for a pretty post otherwise 🙂Rodial Smokey Eye Scult Eyeshadow Palette – Matte and Shimmer Ultra-Soft Blendable Shadows. I love this color palete. This palette has a lot of similar colors to what I already use on a daily basis, so it was fun to add to what I already use! I also use an eye shadow primer that helps make the eye shadow stay on all day and last.Rodial Smokey Eye Pen – Black. I don’t know how to do a smokey eye. It’s just not a skill set I have. So seeing this item in the box put the fear of God in me. Seriously. It goes on smoothly, but in trying to make it even on both eyes, it just got out of hand. It goes on nicely, and is easy to use, I’m just unqualified to use it.Rodial Glamoxy Snake Mask. Okay, so I thought it would be really awesome to take a picture of myself with this face mask on. So I put the black liquid all over my face and looked in the mirror. Nope. Not happening. I don’t know how women get cute pictures of themselves covered with goop, but that’s definitely not what I saw in the mirror. I looked ridiculous. So I decided to just stick with all product-type photos for this post. This mask was really cool though. I love face masks that peel off. There’s something just so satisfying about it, you know? Maybe it’s because you can see what is being taken of of your skin, who knows! All I know is that I like it.Rodial Stemcell Super-Food Facial Oil. This stuff is cool. Does it actually work? I’m not sure. I guess time will tell. If you see me out and about, just tell me I look younger 🙂I also like that it has a dropper applicator – it makes me feel all science-y and stuff.Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder . Pressed powder. Okay, now this, I know how to use. Just brush this powder on those areas you want to highlight on your face. Easy peasy and it works great!
