A few years ago, we got tired of eating the same old boring stuff for Christmas, so we decided to spice it up a bit. Since we typically graze all day over the food in the kitchen, we figured we might as well make it something bite-sized that we could eat as we’re walking by. Thus, the appetizer Christmas was born! But alas, we wondered how we were going to get some protein in there. And that is where this recipe was born.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. chicken breast
- 1 lb. bacon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- pepper
- toothpicks
Step One. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Step Two. Cut the chicken into bite sized pieces. Also, cut the bacon once in half.
Step Three. Take one piece of chicken and roll it up in the bacon. Use a tooth pick to secure it.
Step Four. Place the rolled chicken in a 13×9 pan and sprinkle the top with pepper and brown sugar.
Step Five. Bake for about 45 minutes or until cooked through. The bacon should be cooked, but not necessarily crispy.
