I don’t go to bars often. Okay, okay…at all. I mean, I have two kids! But when my friend Val and I stopped in to see if we could use Eight Row Flint for a couple photos, Bryan, the General Manager, went above and beyond to make our time there amazing.
So let me set the stage for you. We needed a warm place to shoot a couple photos. We didn’t plan on buying anything – heck, they weren’t even open yet! And he welcomed us in, told us about all of their specialties, fun events they have, where the whiskeys come from, and then gave us a couple drinks to enjoy and maybe use for our photos. Since he was so accommodating (and that drink and decor was ah-mazing), I thought I’d give you a little look-see at where you should spend an evening in the Heights in Houston.
Eight Row Flint is on 11th street in the Heights and the outside looks like a refurbished gas station or something – but it’s definitely been updated as the patio outside looks like the perfect place to relax after work during their happy hour. Not only do they have the best selection of whiskey in town (they drive across the country to pick it up in the barrels), but they also have cooking demonstrations (they are owned by Agricole Hospitality, the same owners as Coltivare and Revival Market) and other events held there every week! You can stay up to date on their events on their Facebook Page.
The taco truck out back is theirs and serves some yummy tacos that will keep that tummy of yours full and happy. I definitely recommend you try this place out!
