And the winner is….popcorn! Watching an award show, whether with a group or just your family at home, always involves a snack – at least my viewing does. You need something that you can enjoy when you’re on the edge of your waiting for Ernst & Young to open that gold envelope and say your favorite actor’s name. What’s better to nervously snack than popcorn? Dress it up or dress it down, popcorn is a movie-watching (and movie-award-watching) staple. I went with three different options for my popcorn.
First, there’s the OG (original gangster) melted butter. There’s a reason why movie theaters serve this yellow treat – because it’s so darn good!
Next, I’ve got caramel-topped kettle corn. Kettle corn is a sweeter version of popcorn and is perfect for this heavenly treat. You can use either store-bought soft caramels of make your own. If you need a recipe, here’s one.
Last, but certainly not least, is the chocolate drizzled. I took plain popcorn, added melted chocolate, and because it’s the Oscars, I added edible gold star glitter to the top of all of them. I think we have a winner!
