5 Ways to Jazz Up Boring Silverware for Your Table Setting

5 Ways to Jazz Up Boring Silverware for Your Table Setting

Want an easy way to dress up your Christmas or New Year’s table without spending a fortune on decor? How about FIVE? I love the idea of dressing up the silverware in fun and creative ways – and I’m not talking about simply wrapping up the silverware in a napkin!

Here’s a few ideas to get you started!

Ornaments. Ornaments are one of those items that can easily dress up your place setting and you can easily customize it to whatever color palette or theme you want! And when you’re done you can just hang it up on the tree!

Ribbon. A simple ribbon goes a long way. My favorite is a 1″ wide satin ribbon and it’s always fun for guests to unwrap their “presents” aka forks and spoons.

Jingle Bells. What’s more fun around the holidays than the sound of jingle bells? So why not create an interactive place setting where your guests can jingle all the way to dessert?

Tassels. This look to me is the most elegant. Tassels are found at any craft store and are so easy to use! Simply tie them around the cutlery and that’s it! Instant elegance!

Fur. This is absolutely an over the top look. This may not be a look to use with kids, but man does it dress up a table! It’s fancy and whimsical!

I’m excited to see your final tables, so please share them with me! And if you’d like to see more tips like this, follow me on Pinterest!
