Never stop growing and learning. I’ve heard this told to me my whole life and while it’s easy to get complacent and tired, I can’t stress enough how important it is to keep trying new things, pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone, and diving in to learn more about your passions.
As a new blogger, I feel like a fish out of water a lot of the time. But every day I seem to pick up a new trick or tip that gets me that much closer to my goal. To add to the learning process, I decided to attend the conference for bloggers and creatives called, Thrive Creative Conference. It was held in The Westin Hotel at The Woodlands, so it was nice to not have to drive very far.
There were amazing speakers, like Emma Chapman (A Beautiful Mess), Natalie Franke (Rising Tide Society), Dominique Broadway, Christina Scalera, Landon & Meggan Wood (Lily Jade), Kyle & Alyssa Circle (Pollinate Media), Jonathan & Samantha Foster (Jonathan Ivy Photography), Kellan & Michelle Caldwell (Cotton), Elizabeth Quintal (Cheeky Days), Kristen Welch (Mercy House), Mica May (May Designs), Sukaina Rajani (Macaron By Patisse), Bonnie Bakhtiara (Illume Retreat), Sarah Morgan, Kristen Larsen (Believe In A Budget), and Miranda Anderson (One Little Minute).
I absorbed an insane amount of information, which means I came home feeling overwhelmed and with a to-do list a mile long, but it’s still great to have a direction and know the steps I need to take. Here’s a little recap of the weekend.
I’m so sad the weekend is over, but now it’s time to implement all that I’ve learned. Bring it on!
