Outside of Christmas, Houston Restaurant Weeks is my favorite time of the year. During the month of August each year, many casual and fine dining restaurants create a special menu and give a portion of the proceeds to the Houston Food Bank. Great right? Not just are they giving to the worthy cause of ending hunger, but the special menus they create are also cheaper options for us enjoying the meal.
Every year, I like to try out a new place I’ve been wanting to dine at and haven’t wanted to pay their regular prices. One such place is Little Liberty.
For my first course, I chose the jalapeno meatballs.
Next course, shrimp and grits! Devine!
Dessert was worth the wait. The dark chocolate mousse was perfectly smooth, without being too heavy or rich.
