Ahh coffee, it wasn’t one of those things I had an instant taste for. I still don’t, really. But a little espresso is my jam. Add a little peppermint syrup and mocha and we’re in business! But even better than drinking an espresso is getting share that cup of joe with a good friend. This year, I’m trying to foster relationships more – i.e. having meet-ups with other creative-type people in the Houston area and getting to know them.
My handwriting looks like chicken scratch. So I guess that’s why I’ve always been amazed with people who have nice handwriting. Like when I was in high school, I thought it was so cool when we would be making signs and someone could do bubble letters – you know what I’m talking about – those letters that look like puffy clouds. Now that I’m older, I could care less about those bubbles letters – but I’m more impressed with people who can do hand lettering and calligraphy. And not just do it, but do it well – like Kristen from Kristen Leigh Lettering and Design. This woman is so crazy talented! Kristen and I met a little over a year ago and we became fast friends. She is kind, compassionate, and just an all-around amazing person. We’re both laid back kind of people, so our personalities really work well together.
