I love a good party. But do you know what’s even better? A party that revolves around food. Last week, I was able to attend the launch party for Delivery Italiano. Delivery Italiano is a subscription meal service that provides you authentic Italian ingredients and meals direct to your home.

The party was held at Snaidero, a kitchen design studio off Kirby in Houston, Texas. It was the perfect place to showcase such a beautiful take on authentic Italian cuisine you can make in your own home. Upon entering, we were greeted with quite the spread of antipasti – salami, prosciutto, olives, and Parmesan – the gang was all there!

Chef Luca made this Olive Oil Cake to go with the spread! So delicious!

After tasting some of the antipasti, we rounded the corner and saw a beautiful display of the items that make up the Delivery Italiano boxes. There was pasta, pesto, olives, tomato sauce, olive oil, Italian cookies, grilled vegetables, and all sorts of other tasty ingredients.

And then, at the kitchen in the back, was Luca Manfe, 2013 MasterChef winner cooking up some appetizers! It was so neat to be able to see him in action!

Now, let’s get to what he made us…

Artichoke Sandwich (I'm sure it has a fancier name than that, I just was too busy eating to find out)

This event was too good to be true! I got to meet a winner from one of my favorite shows, watch him cook some delicious food (and eat it), and learn more about a fun new product that brings Italy into your home. What a great night!

Oh, but wait, there’s more! I got a box sent home with me! So not only did I get to try the delicious ingredients put into action, but I also get to try them out on my own!

Now, I’m not going to lie…when I first opened the box I was scared because 1) I don’t know Italian and most of the labels are in Italian and 2) what the heck do I do with some of these ingredients? (black pate??) Luckily, there are recipes and how to use cards included in the box! Now I can’t wait to wow my friends with an authentic Italian dinner!
