Back to school season is upon us and that means that I’m actually going to have to start planning our dinners out again. I have to admit, when summer comes around, I’m always so uninspired to cook – and here in Texas, it’s so hot that I don’t want to do much of anything at all.
So when it comes to getting back into the swing of school season, I’m really on top of my mom game (okay, sometimes I am…). I make dinner from scratch with lots of veggies and I feel pretty good about myself. Then there’s other days, where the last thing I want to do is step foot inside my kitchen, and hitting up a restaurant (or drive thru) is what we end up doing. After long school days, after-school activities, and homework, sometimes I just don’t have the energy to think about dinner.
But let me tell you my secret for these such days – Tyson® Fun Nuggets from Walmart. Anyone that knows me, knows that I have these dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets in my freezer at all times. They’re so easy to heat up, serve, and my kids absolutely love them. They are definitely a lifesaver for those busy back to school evenings and then all I have to think about is what I’m going to serve them with.
They’re all-natural chicken nuggets from chicken who were raised with no antibiotics, added hormones, or steroids. They’re a great source of protein at 10 grams per serving, and even better – my kids love them! I mean, what’s not to love when you can encourage your kids to play with their food?
For our latest dinner including the dinosaur Tyson Fun Nuggets , I opted to serve the dinosaur shaped chicken in a “forest” of lettuce with light dressing and a “dessert” of cauliflower rice. Of course, the kids don’t ever want their different food items to touch, so they get a little dressing on their salads and a dollop of ketchup on the side of the Tyson Fun Nuggets so they can make their dinosaurs “bloody” (my kids are silly like that). They loved it! Even a quick dinner at home can be fun and interactive for them!
If you plan on picking up these dinosaur Tyson Fun Nuggets on your next trip to Walmart, make sure to use this shopkick offer. for them while you’re at it so you earn points for your purchase! Every little bit helps when you’re trying to feed a family on a budget, so you might as well earn some money back on items you’re already purchasing!
