When I meet up with friends for lunch, we always try to eat someplace new. After all, Houston has vast array of restaurants, so why go to the same ones over and over again? Recently, I met up with my friend Catrina at Dish Society. It’s a farm to table restaurant that has two locations in the Houston area (one in Katy and one off Chimney Rock). She had been there before, but it was my first time, so she made sure I tried a couple of her favorites on the menu.

Sparkling Elderflower. You have to get this! It's that good.

Soft Pretzel and Smoked Gouda Queso. And it was really GOOD-AH! (I had to do it)

Shrimp and Grits. Because if it's on the menu, I order it.
