Get Spring Break Ready with These Healthy Meals and Snacks

This post was sponsored in kind by MealPro and Paleo By Maileo. All photos and opinions are mine.

With Spring Break just around the corner, it’s time to break out the swimsuits and hit the beach! But if you’re like me and ate a little too much around the holidays and need to shed a few pounds, I’ve got a few food and snack tips to help you shed the pounds.

In this post, I’ll be introducing you to two different companies. The first one (Meal Pro) offers ready made meals shipped to you frozen and perfectly portioned so you can simply heat and eat healthy meals. How easy is that? And make sure to grab the coupon code for Meal Pro in this post too. After that, I’ll tell you about Paleo By Maileo. These Paleo approved snacks are perfect for cutting carbs and eating gluten free. So let’s take a look at what they have to offer…

Meal Pro

You start by selecting either 10 meals in a box or 15 meals in a box. They have several options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to choose from and each item is worth a different amount of points (it’s basically 1 point per $1 spent). Purchases earn point that can be traded in for event tickets, supplements, and athletic apparel. Meals range from $2.99 (oatmeal) to $12.49 (salmon) and cover a wide assortment of dietary needs. After you order is processed, the meals are then cooked, vacuum sealed, and frozen. They are shipped in a ice-packed box and mine still arrived frozen.

Here’s a look at what they sent me:

Oatmeal Breakfast $2.99 (2 points) – There’s nothing really interesting to say about this one. It’s plain oatmeal portioned out for you. You could get this cheaper by purchasing it at the grocery store and portioning it out yourself.

Muesli Breakfast $4.99 (4 points) – This one was pretty good. Again, you could probably make it yourself at home by just adding in some dried cranberries and raisins. Nothing really special here.

BBQ Steak $10.99 (11 points) – This meal was absolutely delicious! The beef was cooked perfectly, as was the broccoli and the brown rice. Everything had such great flavor! I would definitely recommend this one.

If you’d like to try Meal Pro for yourself, use the code HH10 for 10% off at checkout!

Paleo By Maileo

This 100% Paleo approved company ships individual items like jerky, supplements, dried fruits, and other snacks, but they also have a monthly subscription box they send out that allows you to try several of their Paleo approved products at one time. They have three different subscription box types 1 month ($39), 3 months ($114), and 6 months ($222).

The box I received had the following items in it:

  • OHi Superfood Bar – Coconut Macadamia
  • Raw Food Central Curt’s Classic Flax Crackers
  • Ayoba-Yo Droewors Beef Air-Dried Sticks
  • Gorilly Goods Trail Mix with Nut, Goji, & Cacao Nib
  • Soul Sprout Almond Butter Truffles – Cinnamon-ilicious
  • DNX Grass Fed Beef Sweet Potato Pecan Bar
  • Vital Proteins Marine Collagen Dietary Supplement – Unflavored

I’m still working my way through these snacks, but so far my favorite has been the OHi superfood bar and the almond butter truffles. I’ll be sure to update this post as I finish them all.

I always find the “snack” portion of diets SO HARD! I can make healthy meals but I’m always stumped by what to eat in between those meals to keep my body moving and my tummy happy. I’m so glad to have found this company that has all kinds of healthy and good for you snacks and I’m excited to try some more of their keto options as well!

I hope this post has helped you see that eating healthy doesn’t have to be stressful or time consuming. There are some great companies out there that can easily point you in the right direction on your food journey!
