Green Chef Box Meal Subscription – A Review

This post is sponsored in kind by Green Chef. All photos and opinions are mine.

I’ve really been on a box meal kick lately. But this one, Green Chef, intrigued me because they have all organic meals. Even better than that, they have them broken down into specific dietary needs – Carnivore, Omnivore, Paleo, Keto, Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Family Size Carnivore and Family Size Omnivore. So whatever your meal plan, they have the perfect meals for you.

I opted for the Gluten Free meals. Not because I’m typically a carb-free eater, but because I wanted to see what they had to offer that didn’t involve rice, bread, or pasta. And I was not disappointed!

Things I noticed:

  • There are TONS of ingredients sent in the box. They definitely do not skimp when it comes to all the nutritious items in their recipes.
  • All of the meals are color coded. Since there were 3 different meals in the box, they had recipes with corresponding stickers on every single item so I knew exactly what ingredient went with each recipe.

  • Green Chef is also keeping the “green” in their packaging. They use recycled products to pack the items and the few plastic baggies that are used in packaging smaller ingredients have labels on them instructing how to recycle them. Good for you and good for the environment. Everyone wins!

Now what you’ve been waiting for. The food! Here’s a look at each meal and the process involved with each recipe.

Shiitake XO Salmon

Cajun Black-Eyed Peas
