I am all about appetizer meals. And actually, one Christmas we didn’t have a sit down meal at all – we just had food that could be set out and left and it was awesome! Amidst the opening of presents and watching Christmas parades, we were able to graze all day long – and no one was stressed out about having to hurry and get food on the table at a certain time.
This is exactly the same way I like to make food for parties. I like things I can make ahead, set out before guests arrive, and periodically refill throughout the get together.
This delicious crostini topped with prosciutto, arugula, ricotta cheese, and a honey drizzle. It’s got salty, sweet, and cheese – what more could you want?
Ingredients
- 1 French bread baguette
- olive oil
- arugula
- prosciutto
- ricotta cheese
- honey
Step One. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch slices and brush each slice with olive oil. Toast the slices for 3-5 minutes, or until the edges start to brown.
Step Two. While the slices are still warm, spread on about 1 teaspoon of ricotta cheese on each slices.
Step Three. On top of the ricotta cheese, place one slice of prosciutto, a couple leaves of arugula, and drizzle it with honey.
