The boys of summer are back! If you can’t make it to a game at the ballpark, why not host a watch party at home? This easy checklist is all you’ll need to pull it all off!

The Decor – Baseball Everything!
As always, presentation is everything! Here’s a few items you may want to have a home run of an Astro’s baseball watch party at home!
The Food
I love providing people with options at parties, but I don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen getting ready for it. That’s why I love the idea of having a hot dog bar! But not just any hot dog bar, oh no! I’m talking about a Tex Mex hot dog bar! I mean, why not? This is Texas after all, so why shouldn’t we combine our favorite team and our favorite food? Here’s what you’ll need to make it happen:
- hot dog buns
- hot dogs
- tortilla chips
- chile con queso
- salsa (maybe try some new flavors like mango peach or pineapple salsa)
- taco meat
- tomatillo sauce
- shredded cheese
- enchilada sauce
- pico de gallo
- guacamole
- elote
- borracho beans
- Houston Astros World Series M&Ms
Here’s a little tip I have for you as well…instead of answering the same questions of “what is this one?” that your guests will ask, use disposable spoons to serve with and write the name of the topping right there on the spoon. Then, when you’re done, clean up a breeze!
Commissioner’s Trophy inspired cupcakes are a hit as well! With gold cupcake liners and flags, this table will be worthy of a trophy!

The Home Plate Coasters
My favorite kinds of crafts for parties are those that are useful. I hate buying special odds and ends for a party only to just throw them away at the end. Well, these Home Plate Coasters are easy to make, are useful for keeping water rings off your tables, and add a fun personal touch to your decor.
Here’s how to make them:
Take a square cork coaster and cut it in the shape of a baseball diamond with scissors. Using a 1″ foam brush, paint white paint all over one side of the coaster. Once the paint has dried, you can draw whatever design you like on the coaster using a sharpie paint pen. Show support for the Astros (or whichever team is your favorite) by drawing the team logo on it, or just leave it blank. The possibilities are endless!
