First of all, Disney cruises are amazing. I’ll go into more detail later, but just trust me on this one. Second, the people who go on these cruises are equally as amazing. Like the people whom I met in a Facebook group so many months ago. If you read my earlier post on fish extenders, then you know that every Disney Cruise has a Facebook group associated with it. I joined a few members in the group in an ornament exchange while on our cruise and it was so fun!

There were ornaments that were handmade and and store bought, but they were all unique and given with love – which is the best part of this holiday season, don’t you think? Here’s a few ornaments I received from the other members in my group.

I also wanted to show you the ornaments I made and give you the details on how to make them. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Clear ball ornaments (they make glass or plastic ones, so take your pick)
  • white and gold paint pens
  • red crinkle paper
  • gold ribbon

Step One. Fill the ornaments with the crinkle paper until it looks full (but not crammed all together)

Step Two. Draw Mickey head silhouettes sporadically on the ornament with the gold paint pen. Fill in other details like swirls and dots with the white paint pen. You could also use stickers or vinyl decals instead of using the paint pens, but I liked the homemade look it provided better.

Step Three. Tie the ribbon in a bow on top and you're done!
