I love colorful food! It’s pretty much a must that any time I have a party or get together, that the food is anything but beige. I love cookies, but why should they stay the typical colors of beige and brown (or black if you forget about them in the oven)? This recipe right here for these fluffy cake box cookies can be turned into whatever color you choose and are an easy focal point to a party!
Pink Crackle Cookie Recipe
Pink Crackle Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 box white cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- pink food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and a few drops of food coloring. You can make the color as prominent or muted as you like with your use of the food coloring. For this rosey pink color, I used 4 drops of red (liquid) food coloring. Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes for fluffier cookies.
- Roll tablespoon size balls of dough in the powdered sugar. A shallow pan works well for this. Place the balls on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
