Brunch at Season’s 52 Houston

August 1, 2017

Recently, I had the chance to try out the new menu for brunch at Season’s 52 in Houston, TX with the Houston Food Blogger Collective. While I’ve passed by this restaurant several times on Westheimer Rd, I’ve never been inside. So if you’re like me and you’ve seen it but never been there, I’m giving you an inside look at what their brunch menu has to offer!

Chef’s Table. Location is everything. I mean, it’s not really if you’re just going to try out a new place. But if you’re looking for something special and a little different, you have got to reserve the Chef’s Table (room). It’s a room right off the kitchen where you and your closest (12ish) friends can sit and dine and watch the cooks in action. I personally loved it and I’m sure that foodie in your life will love it too!

White Peach Bellini and Raspberry Bellini. What’s brunch without a little bubbly?

Smoked Salmon Flatbread. (crisp bread, cold-smoked Kendall Brook salmon, capers, red onion, horseradish crema) This is not something I would normally order, but OMG is it good. It was light and refreshing and the perfect appetizer as it won’t fill you up.

Orange Marmalade Parfait Mini. (Greek yogurt, house made orange marmalade, and topped with granola) I love anything that I can see the actual vanilla bean in. This was a great addition to brunch because it added that little something sweet that of course, I love.

Brick Oven Brioche French Toast. (blueberry-infused maple syrup, whiskey-smoked brown sugar pecans) We each got a choice of main course and this was mine. I grew up eating my dad’s amazing French toast on Saturday mornings and while it wasn’t as good as his, it was still pretty dang good.

Shakshuka. (Pasture-raised eggs baked in a sauce of sweet peppers, tomatoes, chorizo and crumbled feta) I was intrigued by this one, but I didn’t try it. but anything served with a toast point is okay in my book!

Braised Beef Short Rib Hash. (pasture-raised poached egg, Yukon potato, red peppers, onion, and red wine sauce) Everyone that ordered this one said it was amazing. I’ll probably try it next time.

Belgian Chocolate Smore. We had a variety of options for dessert, but of course I chose the smores mini dessert, because if smores are on the menu, I’m ordering it. The pecan pie is supposed to be what they’re famous for, but I didn’t get a chance to try that one. You’ll have to let me know how it is.

Seasons 52 has several locations in the Houston area, so if you’re in the food for a farm to table brunch, you won’t be disappointed if you head there.
