Is it Spring yet? Honestly, I can’t even tell because the weather here in Houston has been absolutely crazy pants. One day it’s 80 degrees and the next, it’s in the 40s. I seriously have to check my weather channel app before I get the kids ready in the morning! But with wildflowers and bluebonnets starting to pop up everywhere, I can’t help but get in the spring mood.
One things I love about the spring are picnics and light foods. Once such food I like to make are these colorful and light strawberry trifles.
A trifle is simply a dessert that has layers. And this one couldn’t be easier to make. I made a strawberry cake, crumbled it up, and layered it with cool whip. It’s easy, light, and refreshing – oh yeah, and tasty 🙂
