The Best Budget Travel Sites of 2020

This post contains affiliate links. Any purchases made through these links helps keep this blog running.

Get Away. Traveling. On Holiday. Road Trip.

Whatever you call it, it can be expensive! I’ve compiled some of my favorite websites of 2020 that will help you find the best deals for all your travel needs!

Flights & Airfare

Skiplagged

This site has some great last minute deals on flights and hotels. What I think is hilarious is that their tagline is “Our flights are so cheap, United sued us…but we won.” I guess that says it all, doesn’t it? They basically find the loopholes in flight prices and can show you which companies have the best prices for the time you want to go. If you’d like a $10 credit on your account, click here for my referral code.

Scott’s Cheap Flights

If you have a serious case of wanderlust, you need to sign up for this company’s emails and/or their premium membership for $39 year. Basically, they’ll send you a couple emails a week with a location and the cheap flights they found associated with that one location. You can opt to only see domestic flights or international too, if that’s your preference. Last week alone, I got an email for round trip flights to Beijing for $549 and Costa Rica for $287. So if you’re looking to getaway and you have your bucket list ready to get locations crossed off, this is the way to do it! I also like that they tell you about hidden fees – like checked bag fees and choosing your own seat fees.

Hotels & Accommodations

AirBnB

If you’re looking to live like a local for a bit, this is the way to do it! This is also the best way to get the most bang for your buck. If you simply need a couch to stay on that, they have that option. If you’d a like an entire house so you can make your own meals and relax, there’s that too. Make sure to use my referral code here to save money on your first stay!

Booking.com

Technically, Booking.com has deals on flights and rental cars as well, but I primarily use it for hotel deals. They have great rates usually and you can see all sorts of locations all in one spot.

Booking.com

Excursions, Activities, & Things to Do

Viator

This company is owned by TripAdvisor, so you know they’ve thoroughly vetted their vendors. I was actually going to list TripAdvisor as another resource for activities while on vacation before I found this site. I’ve gotten some pretty good deals through here – for example, I love going to the New Orleans School of Cooking, but it’s a bit pricey! However, the cooking class is $5 cheaper if I book it through Viator/TripAdvisor rather than just booking through the cooking school’s website itself. Every little bit helps, right? Click on one of the example activities below to find fun new excursions for your next trip!

CityPASS

If you’re going to visit a major city, you may want to purchase a CityPASS. These city wide passes offer great discounts for if you plan to go to several different popular museums or attractions. Check to see what they have available here.

Save up to 50% off combined prices for admission to must-see attractions with CityPASS. Shop now!

Disney

Get Away Today

Looking for a deal on a Disney vacation? This site can help you with that! Whether it’s a cruise or a park visit – you’ll want to check out the deals they have on this site like free park tickets and discount dates. Click here to see more of what they have to offer for your next Disney vacation!

Under Cover Tourist

This is the best price to get tickets to theme parks like Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Great Wold Lodge, Ripley’s Believe it Or Not, San Diego Zoo, and Legoland. They also have great deals on ski resorts in places like Breckenridge, Park City, Vail, Keystone, and Beavercreek. And if you’re in need of a rental car, they have some amazing discounts for companies like Budget, Avis, Enterprise, and National. It really has something for every vacationer. We got our Disney tickets through them and they were at least $20 cheaper per ticket for each person – that kind of savings adds up!
