You guys, I am addicted to airBNB’s. After looking for a hotel to stay in for my recent trip to the hill country, I thought I’d try looking on airBNB just to see if anything looked interesting. After some searching, I came across this cute little bungelow in San Marcos, Tx. I’ll give you a tour of my abode for the weekend…
Here’s my private entrance to my crib. Dawn, the owner, lives in the residence as well – but she has a separate entrance on the back of the house that she has closed off to renters.
After walking past the outside kitties, you come into the screened-in porch area. The weather was milk while I was there, so working out here was a nice change of pace to my usual couch-loafing.
Look. At. This. Door. I mean, seriously. How fun!
This was my bedroom. Where do I even begin? Grandma bedspread, paper flowers hanging, Scrabble boards lining the doorway. So strange. And fun 🙂
Completing my bedroom tour is a patriotic desk space, Dolly Pardon, and a dress form. I can’t make this stuff up, people. I know what you’re thinking…all that’s needed now is a crocheted afghan…well, here it is folks.
In the kitchen, Dawn had set me up with a coffee bar. How sweet!
The kitchen had the neatest things in it.
The living room was neat too. I think it’s the first time that I ever have been to a home with no tv in it. It was really neat. I’m not a huge tv watcher anyway, but it was cool that the place is set up for you to enjoy the people you’re with and go out and explore the town.
Everywhere I looked, there was little knick-knacks and eccentric touches.
I’m so glad I tried something new and went with the home rental. And it was actually cheaper than getting a boring old hotel room!
