What to See, Do, Eat, and Stay in San Antonio, Texas for the Ultimate Girl’s Trip

You know that feeling when you’ve got tons to do and you’re feeling overwhelmed? Well, that’s usually about the time that my friends and I typically decide to get out of town to clear our heads. This time, we opted to visit San Antonio and visit all of the Instagram-worthy and Pinterest-inspiring photo ops! We packed in a lot, but here’s the must-visit stops you’ll need to make when visiting the seventh most populated city in the US.

Where to Stay in San Antonio

St Anthony Hotel

My all time favorite is the St Anthony Hotel. This historic hotel is right in the heart of downtown and is within walking distance of several restaurants and a park right across the street. This opulent hotel boasts that is was the first luxury hotel in the area (built in 1909) and all of the original features are still intact. From the beautifully decorated green sun room, to the dripping with gold and velvet “Peacock Alley”, this hotel is one to behold. But don’t forget to check out the rooftop pool and the Spanish inspired “Sky Terrace”.

Hotel Emma

Another fantastic hotel is Hotel Emma. If you’re looking to be right in the heart of the action, this is the place you want to stay. It’s got a industrial kind of feel to it and has a beautiful outdoor patio, expansive library, and several restaurants and bars. It’s even located right smack dab in the Historic Pearl District, so you can walk to dinner, entertainment, and shopping – all from your hotel without having to move your car.

Things to See in San Antonio

Ocho

The Havana Hotel is a relaxing place to visit, but if you stop by, make sure to check out Ocho, their patio restaurant. I can’t recommend it for food since I didn’t get to eat there, but I do recommend going to take a peek at it because it’s super cute!

Market Square

Another thing we loved was Market Square. This Spanish-inspired area has great Mexican food restaurants, Mexican odds and ends for sale, and musicians playing most of the time. I just loved all of the color we saw while there!

Where to Eat in San Antonio

Boiler House

If you’re looking for some place to eat that’s in the heart of where the action is, make sure to check out Boiler House Texas Beer & Wine Garden in the Historic Pearl District. This tasty restaurant is known for their laid back vibe for after work hours and their weekend brunch menu. It was SO good! Here’s a little look into what we ate while we were there. What to Do in San Antonio

Historic Pearl District

While you’re in the Historic Pearl District, make sure to check out the area. They have bands play most nights, so you can sing along, dance, or just sway with the music. It always brings a crowd, so make sure to get there early to snag your spot! While there, you can also check out the local shops, boutiques, and Riverwalk as well.

Scoot Around

Rent a Scooter. Seriously. The city has scooters left all over for you to simply rent for $1 and stroll on. We had a blast!

We had such a great time while on our girl’s getaway trip in San Antonio and I hope it inspired you to get away from the everyday and go have some fun!
