Daddy's French Toast

Thick and fluffy french toast is the perfect breakfast or brunch item. A little topping of butter and powdered sugar and you've got a recipe everyone will love!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups milk
  • 12 eggs
  • 18 slices day-old French bread 1 inch thick
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon butter

Instructions
 

  • Beat the flour, sugar, salt, milk, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon with a beater until smooth.
  • Soak bread in the batter until saturated.
  • Heat butter in a skillet. Carefully transfer each bread slice to skillet, do not overcrowd. Cook bread over medium heat 12 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • Serve with butter and a dusting of powdered sugar.
