It’s funny how sibling relationships change over time. At least, my brother and my relationship surely has. When he was born, I was 9 years old. So for those first few years of his life, he was my living, breathing baby doll. I loved holding him and helping care for them. Around the time I entered junior high, he was no longer cute to me. He was that annoying little brother who wouldn’t stay out of my stuff.
It wasn’t until he got into high school that we started to become closer. At that point, he could come to me as the older sister and ask for advice and I loved it. It was neat to be able to have someone who looked up to me and trusted me with what he was going through. He’s in grad school now and while he no longer needs me like that anymore, we still chat frequently.
One thing that hasn’t changed over time is his love for bread. My mother has actually called him “bread boy” for years because he cannot be trusted around a fresh loaf of bread. Not the sliced stuff, oh no, I’m talking about sourdough, French bread, or anything like that. Just a little bit of butter and some bread and he is one happy camper!
So in honor of my little bro, I’m making an easy French bread recipe that anyone can make in no time! With just 6 ingredients and 3 hours, you can make this easy homemade French bread at home.
