There’s a couple proteins that are always on our shopping list – ground beef and chicken breast. So after I’ve made the spaghetti, tacos, and hamburgers, I’m always trying to invent new ways to use that ground beef.
This is a keeper, y’all. I love Korean BBQ flavors, and this easy to put together weeknight meal has all of that flavor without all of the hassle. This take out fake out is a new favorite at our house!

Korean Ground Beef Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef 90% lean
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 16 ounce package frozen stir fry vegetables defrosted
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet cook the ground beef and garlic breaking it into crumbles over medium heat until no longer pink. Add the stir fry vegetables to the pan and saute 2-3 minutes or until tender.
- In a small bowl whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes and pepper. Pour over the ground beef mixture and let simmer for another minute or two.
- Serve over hot rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
