Cast Iron Skillet Chocolate Chunk Cookie

Ingredients
  

  • 6 tablespoons butter room temperature
  • 1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine butter and sugars.
  2. Stir in egg and vanilla. Add in flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Stir in chocolate chunks. Transfer to a 10 inch cask iron skillet. Smooth the top of the dough.
  4. Bake until cookie is golden brown and just set in the center, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  5. Let cool 5 minutes. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
