Cast Iron Skillet Chocolate Chunk Cookie

Ingredients
  

  • 6 tablespoons butter room temperature
  • 1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine butter and sugars.
  • Stir in egg and vanilla. Add in flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  • Stir in chocolate chunks. Transfer to a 10 inch cask iron skillet. Smooth the top of the dough.
  • Bake until cookie is golden brown and just set in the center, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Let cool 5 minutes. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
